While you can back up data files to a network, you should not open or run Quicken on a network. Quicken is not designed to be used over a network or shared drive (such as OneDrive or Google Drive). If you're unable to open Quicken for Windows after a recent product update, it's possible that an issue during the installation is preventing Quicken from opening.
